We spent 2 nights at the Dover Marina Hotel, and overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect and right opposite the beach and close to the town. We were pleasantly surprised by all the facilities the hotel had to offer. The Churchill Bar is beautiful, the coffee shop is a really nice place to stop by if you have a busy day ahead, and we weren't sure what to expect from the Spa but the massage I had there was fantastic. We were a little disappointed by some of the food in the hotel restaurant, but the atmosphere was great and staff were really attentive and it's still well worth a visit. Our room itself was a bit smaller than expected, but suited us just fine for our short stay. We were given the option to upgrade to a sea view room at an extra cost but did not take it. We wish we would have done this because the views at the back of the hotel weren't great, but the sea view from the bar was exceptional. There was a bit of a bleach/drain smell in the bathroom but the bed was very comfortable, and our room was cleaned everyday and the complimentary teas/coffee and biscuits were topped up daily. They also provided decaf coffee which was a nice touch. There was a bit of refurbishment going on when we stayed so we don't feel like we got to see the hotel at it's best but the staff were very friendly and accommodating and we had a great stay overall.

This was our second time staying here and we really do enjoy this hotel. The staff are warm, friendly had helpful - lots of smiles when interacting with guests or diners in the restaurant. We almost didn't book due to the reviews mentioning about the refurbishment and some of the spa facilities being out of action. We were very lucky - all spa facilities worked fine and was just the tonic. The refurb work caused us minimal discomfort to be honest. The breakfast was great -nice to have an omlette made fresh to order and they do a great steak for dinner.

Great location for an overnight trip to the coast. Spent a day in Folkstone, overnight at the hotel and a walk on the cliffs after checking out. Free parking at the rear of the hotel. Enjoyed the gym and the spa - it's not luxurious but was nice to use. Breakfast was lovely but expensive if you have a teen who only ate toast! The bar area is smart and cosy at the same time. The restaurant again had nice decor, food was good and staff in both were v nice. The bathroom in the room was nice and clean / new.

Beautifully situated on the sea front. Convenient for the town and about 15 minutes walk from the station. We had a room on the fourth floor that offers a wonderful view of the castle and of all the shipping in the Channel, the French coast and all the interest of watching the coming and goings of the Channel ferries. The room was fairly small but very comfortable and clean. Nice shower. Breakfast offered a wide range of hot and cold options. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Carl

Very accomodating and upgraded our room for our anniversary. Very friendly and easy to talk to staff. Spotless rooms and the lobby was comforting. The spa and gym were in the basement. The sauna and Steam room were clean and the gym was good and those were free to access. You get a 10% discount on spa treatments including massage. In this hotel, you do feel like royalty and staying here is very worth it.
